National Account Manager – Waste & Recycling (Sustainability-focused)

Job Overview

Fine Tune is recruiting for a National Account Manager to join our Waste & Recycling Services team, with a sustainability focus. This position will report to our VP of Waste & Recycling Services. When Fine Tune negotiates and implements a new Waste and Recycling agreement on behalf of our clients, our National Accounts team takes ownership of the client relationship and ensures they get what they signed up for.

Responsibilities and Duties

Traditional Client Management Duties:
  • Manage the lifecycle of a Fine Tune client, to include ongoing auditing & recovery duties and associated client interaction
  • Ensure stated savings projections are met and identify the cause of any discrepancies
  • Identify new optimization opportunities to drive savings for our clients
  • Track credits, tasks, and other relevant data points in our CRM and other online platforms
  • Respond to client service issues and address questions
  • Perform supplier renewals, client renewals and client expansions into other service offerings
  • Report overcharges/non-compliance to suppliers on behalf of our clients and follow up until such corrections occur
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Sustainability-Focused Duties:
  • Assist with supporting client sustainability initiatives and proactively promote and pursue opportunities to implement more sustainable client programs
  • Create and track client sustainability metrics
  • Subject-matter expert on emerging trends, technology, and related asset infrastructure to provide education to clients
  • Participate as a member of Fine Tune’s Sustainability Committee
  • Manage various company certifications/memberships such as our Certified B CorpTM status
  • Partner with marketing to issue case studies highlighting successful sustainability projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to identify, create, and implement diversion toward the circular economy
  • Understanding of ESG reporting standards such as GRI, LEED, and GHG
  • 5+ years of intermediate-level Excel experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and professionally present business cases to client
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to work remotely in a space free from distractions
  • Be accountable to yourself and your teammates
